Renewal, Reflection & Mindful Moments

As March arrives, it brings with it an air of renewal. The first signs of spring appear, the days grow a little lighter and nature begins to awaken. It’s a beautiful time to pause and reflect on where you are in your motherhood journey.

The early weeks with a newborn feel like such a blur, March offers us a lovely reminder to slow down and be present with it. Renewal doesn’t mean doing more, instead it gives yourself permission to slow down and reconnect with yourself during such a transformative time.

Reflect on how much you’ve both learned in just a few short weeks and acknowledge the strength it takes to navigate these early days.

Mindful moments at this stage of motherhood don’t need to be long, quiet periods of reflection. They can be small pauses throughout your day. Be compassionate with yourself and honour where you are at right now. 

Mindful moments with a newborn might look like…

  • Feeling the warmth of your baby during a cuddle and noticing their tiny fingers or toes

  • Taking a few slow breaths during a feed

  • Stepping outside or a short walk breathing in fresh air and sunlight

  • Making a warm drink and sitting down to enjoy it, with no phone distractions 

These small pauses can bring the calm you need.

Whilst this season is beautiful, it can also feel very overwhelming, hold some space for both. Remember that you are doing an incredible job! 

In a few weeks from now, you will look back at this time and be so proud of all you navigated and learned!
